Mangrove Restoration
Mangroves are silent warriors standing between humanity and climate chaos. These dense coastal forests protect shorelines from erosion, buffer communities against storm surges, and capture carbon more efficiently than most terrestrial forests. Yet, theyโre disappearing at an alarming rate. We work with coastal communities, forest departments, and ecological scientists to restore degraded mangrove habitats. This includes raising nurseries, replanting native species, protecting saplings, and training locals in sustainable mangrove management. Our restoration efforts are deeply community-led, ensuring that people benefit not just from ecosystem services, but also from alternative livelihoods linked to mangrove health โ such as crab farming, honey collection, and eco-tourism.
